We had a chance to talk with long-time Beach Boys' engineer Mark Linett about the upcoming SMiLE Sessions box set. We'll be posting the full interview a little closer to the release date of November 1st. But, we thought we'd give you a little preview, plus clear up a question that several fans had raised.
I had posted a quote from Mark where he said that they had started with "seven or eight roughly-edited CD's and whittled it down to five." Some of you were concerned that it meant that there was two or three discs of material that had to be left off. As Mark explains in our interview, that is NOT the case:

Here's My Question....
Where did Mark and the other people related to the project find the Surf's Up 1967 Solo Demo, and why hasn't it been released anywhere until now?
Excited for the full thing. Here in the UK it's released on the 31st of October
